Top Flying Fishing Boat
In my opinion, an inflatable pontoon is the best boat to use for fly fishing. Conventional motorboats are far too noisy; they scare all the fish away. The design of inflatable pontoons is also ideal because of its limited water disturbance. The quieter the surface water the more likely the fish are to bite.
The only downside is that inflatable pontoons can be a nuisance to set up. Still, with a motor powered air pump you’ll be up and ready to go in a relatively short amount of time. Inflatable pontoons come in a variety of sizes, so you can purchase a pontoon large enough to take fishing trips with friends or small enough for solitary adventures. Either way, you’re sure to have a lot more success with an inflatable pontoon than with a traditional, noisy motorboat.
Visiting Dinosaur National Monument
Last summer, I took my family on a week long vacation to Dinosaur National Monument. Dinosaur fossil beds were discovered at the site in 1909 by paleontologist Earl Douglass. Thousands of fossils were excavated and shipped back to a museum in Pennsylvania for study and display. In 1915 President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed the dinosaur beds as a National Monument.
The scenery and history are just amazing. We spent a significant amount of time hiking and exploring the area, looking out for any fossils. We also took time to use our Sea Eagle inflatable boats to go kayaking down the Green River. It was incredibly peaceful and gave us plenty of fantastic photo opportunities.
Fastest Growing Water Sport
Stand up paddle boarding has been characterized as the fastest growing water sport in the U.S. Paddle boarding is so appealing because it’s simple to learn and gives the paddler a fantastic work-out. I started paddle boarding as a way of changing up my work-out routine when vacationing beachside.
My two athletic teenagers have also taken an interest in paddle boarding, so I purchased inflatable longboards for the family. They’re easy to transport and set-up. In addition to working out together, we’ve also gone on recreational tours. These tours take paddle boarders out to view pristine waters and incredible underwater ecosystems.
