If you enjoy rowing or canoeing of any kind then you know what an arduous task it can be to get a boat to the water. Most people will store their boats in their garage or outside their house. Then they spend half the day tying the thing to a truck, then they drive all the way to the water (with a boat on top of their car) only to begin the wrestling match anew. And for anyone who has to carry the boat through challenging terrain to get to the water, you know how exhausting and difficult this can be.

Thank goodness for inflatable catamarans and canoes. They stow easily in a backpack with the rest of my gear. This means I don’t have to haul a 200 lb boat through the woods. Nor do I need to own a garage just to have one. Compact and lightweight these inflatable boats make water sports fun again. Instead of a struggle it’s just a nice hike. And without the boat on top of the car there’s no anxiety about “OMG what if the boat flies off in traffic??” Definitely worth a look if you haven’t checked them out already.
