Easy Summertime Living

In my opinion, nothing says summertime like backyard barbecues and long days spent at the lake. For years these two activities were mutually exclusive for me, as I lived hours away from any significant body of water. But last year my family relocated, and within a four-mile radius of our house there are three well-sized lakes.

Unfortunately, I can’t afford a high-powered speedboat, but my wife and I recently invested in the next best thing: an inflatable pontoon. Inflatable pontoons are just a fraction of the cost of traditional vessels and are infinitely most convenient. Just last weekend we went down to a friend’s house on the lake and enjoyed a massive potluck barbecue and a few hours trolling coast around the lake on our pontoon.

What is Paddleboarding?

Although paddleboarding has been around for roughly a century, few people are familiar with this water sport. You have undoubtedly seen a person paddleboarding in one form or another before—and perhaps you have even done it yourself. The most basic form of paddleboarding entails lying facedown on a surfboard or similar conveyance and propelling yourself with a swimming motion.

A more advanced variation of paddleboarding requires the person to standup while paddling and is much more rigorous. Up until recently, no watercraft had been designed that allowed for both types of paddleboarding. With the Sea Eagle paddle board, however, seafarers have the ability to paddle from either the prone position or while standing.  If you take a more relaxed approach to your paddleboarding, you can equip your Sea Eagle with a comfortable padded seat.  Paddle boards have something to offer everyone!
