In some circles, a longboard is simply an elongated skateboard; for others, it is a means of conveyance on the water. Much akin to the paddleboard, a longboard features a long, slender body and is designed for only one person. While it can be perilous to transport typical longboards to remote bodies of water, there are now inflatable longboards that make this process a breeze.

The Sea Eagle inflatable longboard is the first model that allows the user the freedom to paddle standing up or sitting down. This increases the pragmatic qualities of the craft and allows for unparalleled mobility. While you may assume that an inflatable craft will be flimsy and prone to damage, the hull of the Sea Eagle model is reinforced and can stand up to virtually anything you can throw at it.

Gifts for the Outdoor Enthusiast

My brother is a diehard outdoorsman. Every weekend he goes on some expedition into the woods with minimal supplies, relying largely on his wits and cunning to provide him sustenance. For his birthday, I naturally wanted to get him something for the outdoors, but since he only uses the essential supplies, he already has everything that he needs.

I know that it is a departure from his minimalist camping nature, but after researching inflatable boats, I decided to buy him one. Never one to sugarcoat anything, he told me that he liked the gift but definitely wouldn’t take it with him every trip. That’s fine with me; maybe I’ll join him sometime for some modern camping and we can take the boat with us.

There are literally dozens of styles when it comes to watercrafts, and the style that is right for you will be dependent on your budget and how you plan to use it. For leisurely activities like fishing or cruising around a lake, a pontoon is a solid choice. These craft have ample floor space and a shallow draft.

Pontoons are typically cheaper than a regular boat, and you can save even more money if you opt for an inflatable pontoon. An inflatable version will allow you to easily transport the craft and take advantage of it in remote bodies of water. They are ideal for any kind of fishing and can be assembled in just a few minutes.
